SO…WHAT’S ALL THE HYPE ABOUT CO ENZYME Q 10?
Posted On July 20, 2020
Did you know your body has approximately 40 trillion cells, and most of them contain the coenzyme Q10?
For that reason alone, it sounds like a supplement worth taking! But did you also know the reason it is not
considered an essential vitamin like Vitamin A or D?
The reason is your body – genius that it is – is capable of manufacturing its own CoQ10! To be completely technical, it actually produces the components ubiquinone and ubiquinol depending on what it needs and where it needs it. But in spite of the mastermind that your body is – it cannot perform unless it finds enough of the raw ingredients in your diet to do so!
So! Where does one find Coenzyme Q10, ubiquinone or ubiquinol? Well…these components are found in many foods. In fact, they are in many nutrients which have fallen out of favor since the ‘war on eating fat’ took effect a quarter of a century ago! These foods include beef; most oils such as olive, grapeseed, peanut, soybean, sesame seed, and avocado; chia seeds, chicken, spinach, organ meats, salmon and many more.
However, unless you are an indigenous individual with eating habits untainted by today’s propaganda, you probably do not get enough of the raw ingredients which are essential to the creation of sufficient coenzyme Q10!
In other words, to achieve results proven by numerous world trials showing startling improvements in longevity, decreased muscle fatigue and much more; you probably need to add this supplement to your daily regime!
But, let us go back to the basics. The peak absorptions of CoQ10 are found in your vital body parts which include the lungs, kidneys, liver, brain and of course your most energetic organ, your heart.
LET’S GET TECHNICAL AGAIN…
Coenzyme Q10, (or its components) are substances naturally fashioned by your body inside the fatty layer of each cell’s mitochondria and they act as the dominant part in an electron transport chain (ETC). ETC by definition is the process in which animal and plant cells produce energy.
AGE IS A FACTOR
Yes. Sad to say if you are past 20 your body’s peak ability to create this amazing enzyme is now on the decline. And many naysayers claim there is no certain prediction as to the enzyme’s augmented performance in your body even if you do add the supplement. Nevertheless, long-term studies done by Dr. William V. Judy and fellow-doctors show significant improvements in the following areas:
chronic fatigue syndrome patients
heart failure patients
heart surgery patients
patients suffering from Adriamycin cardiotoxicity
prostate cancer patients
Prader-Willi syndrome patients
In fact, if you love getting into the nitty-gritty scientific details, Dr. Judy’s book is a must-have!
He writes in it, “Coenzyme Q10 is, literally, the substance that powers life. It is an essential bio-nutrient required for the cellular process of ATP…energy production. It is also an important fat-soluble antioxidant. Oral CoQ10 supplementation is positively associated with the reduction of blood bio-markers for oxidative stress and inflammation.
